What is in the parts manual

This is the factory parts catalogue, the book a Chevrolet dealer's parts counter worked from. It is not a repair manual and it will not tell you how to do a job. What it does is list every part Chevrolet fitted to a Corvette, with the part number, the years and models it applies to, and an exploded illustration showing where it goes and what it goes with.

That makes it the reference for two jobs in particular. The first is ordering the right thing: a part number from this book removes the guesswork when a supplier lists three similar items and only one fits your year. The second is putting something back together correctly. The illustrations show the order of washers, spacers, clips and brackets, which is exactly the information that goes missing when a car has been apart for a few years and the box of fasteners no longer means anything.

What it covers

The catalogue spans C1, C2 and C3, which means 1953 through 1982 in one set of books. For C3 owners that is useful in both directions: it covers your own car, and it shows where a part carried over from an earlier generation or changed partway through the run.

It is split into five files here purely so each download stays a manageable size. Nothing is left out. If you are looking for specification figures rather than part numbers, the specification manuals are the other half of this set, one book for each model year from 1968 to 1982.
