1968 Corvette Interior Colors and Trim Codes
Seven interior colours were offered on the first C3, in vinyl as standard with leather at extra cost. Below is every trim code, which exterior colours each was suggested with, and how to read the code stamped on your trim tag.

How to read your trim code
Through this part of the run the trim code is a plain three-digit number with no letter in it, and the number alone tells you both the colour and the material. Read it off the trim tag, the small plate riveted to the driver's side of the body just inside the door opening, where it sits next to the paint code. Match the number against the table above: the same colour usually carries one number in vinyl and a different one in leather, so the code distinguishes a leather car from a vinyl one even when the seats have long since been recovered.
What each 1968 interior came with

This one starts from the trim code, which is the way round you need when you have read the tag and want to know whether the car left the factory in the combination it wears now.

- Exterior and interior trim combinations were those recommended while other combinations by special order were available. Convertible top colors were Black, White or Beige.
Seats and trim in 1968
Vinyl was standard and leather was a $79.00 option that 2,429 buyers took. 1968 seats are the tall, thin-backed design of the first C3 year, and headrests were a separate option, RPO A82, fitted to 3,197 cars. A 1968 without headrests is correct, not incomplete.
